Putman Joins Former Teammates at Aquila Commercial
AUSTIN - May 9, 2007 - David Putman, a 15-year Austin real estate veteran and the previous executive vice president for Moore&Associates Inc., has joined Aquila Commercial as a principal. In doing so, Putman will continue handling Moore&Associates' local portfolio while resuming a working relationship with many of his former co-workers from their joint days at the local CB Richard Ellis Inc. office.

Putman has extensive experience and expertise in commercial real estate brokerage and investment sales, and has consistently ranked as one of the top Austin Business Journal's Commercial Real Estate "Heavy Hitters" list several years running.
Putman and Matheney worked together for seven years when the two were at CBRE and Insignia/ESG. Putman also previously worked with Mike Murphy at Pyramid Properties, Inc. for five years. Murphy is a principal with Aquila and Pyramid Properties, which now handles the property management for 3 million square feet of office, industrial and retail in Austin. "In many ways, a great team is now back together," Matheney says.
While at Maryland-based Moore&Associates, Putman successfully implemented a plan to retenant Capitol Center with small law firms, lobbyists and trade associations after McGinnis Lockridge Kilgore and AT&T vacated four full floors. He completed more than 50 different lease transactions within its Austin portfolio and was instrumental in the firm's decision to acquire The Summit at La Frontera and Frontera Crossing.
"Our experience and success with David led us to the strategic decision to retain Aquila Commercial to drive our leasing and marketing initiatives in Austin," says Vince Coviello, executive vice president with Moore&Associates Inc.

Putman's CBRE resume includes participation in more than 200 deals that collectively exceeded 1.4 million square feet. Before CBRE, Putman was a leasing manager at Insignia/ESG, where his team grew the company's third-party leasing business by more than 1 million square feet and aided more than 1.5 million square feet worth of deals.
Ben Tolson, the former leasing associate for Moore&Associates is also joining Aquila.
Aquila will also now handle leasing and marketing on an office portfolio of approximately 600,000 square feet for Moore&Associates.
