Prior to founding AQUILA Commercial, Bart Matheney was with CB Richard Ellis as Senior Vice President – Director of Leasing heading up the marketing and leasing group of Asset Services and Brokerage for the Central Texas region.

Mr. Matheney has worked with many institutional owners and corporate users and represented some of Austin's premier properties including One American Center (500,000 square feet), Austin Centre (1,000,000 SF mixed-use complex) and Capitol Center (172,000 square feet) in the CBD and many of Austin's trophy suburban assets, including 9500 Arboretum, Stonebridge Plaza, Lantana and many others.

Mr. Matheney has been involved in Investment Sales over the last five years including such prominent buildings as Frost Bank Tower, Las Cimas, Capitol Center, Wells Fargo Tower, Westech 360 and many others. Additionally, Mr Matheney has represented some of the largest corporate users in Austin including Siemens, Charles Schwab, First American Flood Data, Marsh, Dun & Bradstreet, Wachovia and Prudential.

Notable 2006 Transactions

  • Set record pricing on two separate assets including highest price per foot in Texas for Frost Bank Tower
  • Brokered the Lantana land tract to AMD for it’s 850,000 SF headquarters facility
  • Leased over 130,000 square feet at River Place Corporate Park including a 65,000 SF to Motorola
  • Represented First American Flood Data in a 76,000 SF transaction at Stone Creek I
