Prior to joining AQUILA Commercial, David Putman was Executive Vice President with Moore&Associates Inc. and was responsible for the firm’s Austin property portfolio and Texas investment activities. Prior to joining Moore&Associates in 2005, Mr. Putman was Vice President of Brokerage Services with CB Richard Ellis.  

Mr. Putman has completed in excess of 4,500,000 sf of leasing and sales transactions. His CBRE resume includes participation in more than 200 deals that collectively exceeded 2 million square feet.  Before CBRE, Putman was a leasing manager at Insignia/ESG, where his team grew the company's third-party leasing business by more than 1 million square feet and procured more than 1.5 million square feet worth of deals. Putman has extensive experience and expertise in commercial real estate brokerage and investment sales, and has consistently ranked as one of the top Austin Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate “Heavy Hitters” list..

Mr. Putman has worked with many institutional owners and corporate users including Archon, Lowe Enterprises, Morgan Stanley, Maier Siebel Baber, PacTrust, Urdang, Charles Schwab, Behringer Harvard and Freescale and represented many of Austin’s premier office properties including Capitol Center, 9500 Arboretum, Stonebridge Plaza, 8303 MoPac, Research Park, The Terrace and 7700 Parmer.
 
Notable Transactions

• Successfully implemented a plan to retenant Capitol Center with law firms, lobbyists and trade associations after McGinnis Lockridge Kilgore and AT&T vacated four full floors achieving 96% occupancy within 15 months
• Negotiated acquisition of Frontera Crossing from Farmers Insurance Company and subsequently completed over 90,000 sf of new lease transactions within six (6) months of closing
• Backfilled 100,000 sf at 9500 Arboretum to Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) within 3 months of being vacated by Computer Science Corporation (CSC)
